Job Summary:

Rotana Hotels & Resorts in Tanzania is seeking dynamic and self-motivated professionals to join our team as Reservation Agents. This role involves efficiently handling incoming calls and inquiries to the reservation department with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Answer incoming calls within 3 rings using the company-approved greeting and reservation script.

2. Manage reservation inquiries through various channels such as phone, fax, and email following standard operating procedures.

3. Accurately process reservations in the property management system, including confirmations, modifications, and cancellations.

4. Maintain precise records of specific requirements, reservation requests, and daily call conversions.

5. Stay updated on hotel facilities, promotions, and any changes that might impact reservation bookings.

6. Participate in training and reservation programs to enhance revenue generation through up-selling and cross-selling strategies.

7. Prioritize the safety of guests and employees, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Required Skills:

  • Degree in hospitality or a related field
  • Previous experience in the Reservation Department of a hotel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional language is beneficial
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in computer operations; familiarity with Opera is advantageous
